Central Arizona Nocturnist Job

• Role : Nocturnist – Internal Medicine

• Location : Central Arizona (approx. 100 miles north of Phoenix)

• Type : Permanent

• Employer : Private hospitalist group

• Credentialing : Two hospitals (you only work at one per shift/week – no inter-hospital travel )

• Start : Open to 2025 residents ; H1 visa sponsorship available

• Schedule : 7-on/7-off; 12-hour shifts (6–6 or 7–7 depending on site)

• Volume : 18–22 patients/day (may be higher during busy season)

• Admissions :

• Hospital #1: 0–2 from 6 AM–12 PM; daytime admitter 12–8 PM

• Hospital #2: Admissions from 7 AM–12 PM or 4–7 PM

• Coverage :

• Hospital #1 : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night

• Hospital #2 : 2 hospitalists + 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night

• ICU Duties :

• Hospital #1 : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available

• Hospital #2 : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital #1

• Codes :

• Hospital #1 : Respond to codes/RRTs for own patients; ED/Intensivists lead

• Hospital #2 : Respond to all codes/RRTs

• Procedures : Not required

• EMR : Cerner

  • Base Salary : $300,000–$350,000

  • Extra Shifts : Available (in-house moonlighting)
