Title: Test & Validation Engineer

Location: Tucson, AZ

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr on W2

Work Schedule: Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

9/80 Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM & Every Other Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Position's Contributions to Work Group

• Support test and validation activities on large mining equipment.
• Validate software functionality at the system level.
• Perform machine-level testing for large mining trucks.
• Collaborate with mechanics and engineers to ensure requirements are met.

Typical Day

• Plan, execute, and document machine-level testing.
• Interact daily with engineers, mechanics, operators, instrumentation technicians, supply chain, and logistics.

Work environment:

• 20% office, 80% hands-on in shop or local field.
• PPE required: boots, glasses, uniform.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: B.S. in Engineering (No associate degrees, no Master's – considered overqualified).
• Experience: Minimum 1 years (internships count).
• Relevant backgrounds: Mechanics, construction, landscaping.

Work Style

• Away from desk most of the time.
• Hands-on with heavy equipment.
• Planning, executing, data acquisition, documentation.
• Some project management aspects.

Disqualifiers

• Master's degree.
