Senior Database developer (Power BI)
FBI Virtual Academy
Hybrid schedule – 4 days a week onsite in Quantico, VA Top Secret clearance required This position is for a Senior Database Developer to support the FBI's Training Division's Virtual Academy. This position requires individuals with substantial experience developing and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server database solutions for use with .Net software development projects as part of an agile development team. The position requires significant experience working with SQL Server and Business Intelligence reporting solutions such as Power BI. This position requires working with software developers who are skilled at writing queries and altering database structure to ensure that system performance and tuning stay optimized throughout the development lifecycle. Further, this position requires ETL and SSDT experience to keep similar systems in different security enclaves in sync. 5+ yrs experience in the following:
• MS SQL Server, T-SQL, SSMS, MS Visual Studio, BI reporting engines, Git
• T-SQL development of queries, views, functions, stored procedures, and jobs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving MS SQL Server database performance issues
• Power BI and other reporting engines, preferably ActiveReports
• Creating and modifying ETL and SSDT scripts
• Tuning database objects for high-performance and efficiency
• Building, populating, and maintaining data warehouses
• Developing and maintaining complex and high-performance MS SQL database architectures and schemas
• Version control with Git
• Developing and maintaining documentation, standards, and best practices
