Job Description

A K-12 school in Texico, NM is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full academic year contract. This role offers the opportunity to support students academic, social, and emotional development in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support student well-being
• Assist with behavioral interventions and school-wide prevention programs
• Interpret psychological test results and prepare comprehensive reports
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making

Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in New Mexico
• Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and students
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of special education laws and federal/state regulations
