This is an opportunity for a Florida based PROJECT ENGINEER to embark on a great career with a large, award-winning, and nationally recognized Heavy Highway/Civil Contractor that self-performs its excavation, underground utilities, structures, asphalt, and concrete paving.

A dynamic Project Engineer ,

Will provide Heavy Civil/Highway projects with technical information, project supervision, and certainty that construction complies with engineering standards, codes, plans, and specifications. The Project Engineer will be handling several projects' or one large project's construction processes from cradle to grave, including responsibility for the project P&L. This position will be a stepping stone to Project Management .

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience Heavy Highway Construction
• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management preferred
• Expertise in Self Performed Heavy Civil Construction such as earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete and/or paving

Responsibilities

• As the Field/Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for assisting the execution of various projects such as Heavy Civil projects.
• You will be part of a team of Project Engineers and associated field management.
• You will be responsible for managing subordinates and subcontractors.
• The Project Engineer’s position’s accountability includes, but is not limited to: Pre-construction, Submittals, RFI's, Pay Applications, CCO's, Project Set-up, Project Cost-Control, Scheduling, Complete Project Oversight, and Profit & Loss.
• 5+ years of heavy civil/heavy highway/site work construction experience.
• Experience with at least two of the following: Excavation, Underground Utilities, Highways, Structures, and/or Public Works
• Self-performing Excavation, Structures, Asphalt & Concrete Paving preferred
• Experience in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Project.
• 4-year degree, ideally Engineering or Construction related, or equivalent experience
• P6, HeavyJob, HCSS, Bluebeam, etc. a plus.
