**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician** **Job Description** The Heavy Equipment Technician will assist the foreman in digging trenches for the installation of copper, cast iron, PEX, Uponor, and PVC piping systems at the Asheville airport. The role involves using a tape measure to accurately measure and cut materials. **Responsibilities** + Assist in trench digging for piping system installations. + Measure and cut materials using a tape measure. + Handle materials and provide them to plumbers as needed. + Work with large gauge PVC piping systems. + Operate heavy equipment such as trachoes and mini excavators. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience assisting plumbers on commercial construction sites. + Proficiency in pipe laying and underground utility work. + Experience in trachoe operation and mini excavator use. + Ability to cut materials accurately, ensuring square cuts. + Knowledge of plumbing systems and hydraulics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with cutting pipe and operating heavy equipment. **Why Work Here?** This position offers long-term plumbing work, providing stability and the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
