Job Description
The Finish Painter is responsible for the proper application of paint. Ensures the highest quality product and meets customer specifications.
· Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
· Refers issues/problems to Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager for disposition.
· Will ensure parts are prepared for paint application, including sanding, cleaning and taping
· Make minor cosmetic repairs to parts
· Mix paint according to customer specifications
· Verify finished paint matches paint chip
· Operate paint booth control systems including oven
· Ensure spray guns are properly maintained
· Keep floor paper and booth filters cleaned as needed
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Excellent attendance
· Ability to work overtime
· Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and material identifications.
· Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations.
· Must be able to be medically cleared for respirator use
