Event Staff Team Members are stationed at various posts throughout the building during events. The position entails greeting, directing guests through metal detectors or wand, scanning tickets, checking bags, answering guests’ questions and informing guests of show and facility rules to ensure the safety of the facility and guests. Essential Duties include greeting and directing customers through metal detectors and/or scanning customers with metal detection wands, performing searches of bags to eliminate restricted and unauthorized items, informing customers of event rules, verifying tickets and credentials for events and facility access, assisting patrons to their seats, allowing only valid ticket credentials into specific areas, performing crowd control inside and outside the venue, resolving problems and addressing complaints, ensuring lost and found items are turned in and documented, interacting with guests, vendors, and employees professionally, assisting with safety and emergency response procedures, working scheduled shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and other duties assigned by management. Required qualifications include a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, customer service skills, effective communication, flexibility, problem-solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, physical ability to maneuver around the venue and lift up to 20 lbs, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
