DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Non-Certified Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and an externship with expectation to become a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant within 6 months from hire.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal
Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics
Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
