Lotus Media Group - Classified Advertising & Obituary Specialist

The News-Review is seeking a qualified professional to fill a full-time key sales position in our Classified department. This position is minimum wage plus commission, which gives a great earning opportunity. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer telephone inquiries for placement of classified advertising.


• Process classified advertising orders and input ad copy by phone.


• Take an active role in our Private Party accounts, obtain new clients and aid in development of new programs and sales specials geared toward building revenue.


• Complete weekly outside sales calls with your top advertisers. Develop target list weekly from competitive advertising sites.


• Be willing and able to serve all customers and clients.


• Develop a solid client base and continuously target new clientele through outbound calls while remaining compliant with FCC rules and regulations.


• Adhere to all deadlines for advertising placement and changes.


• Achieve monthly sales goals.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Strong prospecting, presentation, and selling skills


• The ability to work on their own and manage a sales territory


• Strong consultative sales ability


• Proficient computer and internet skills


• Be responsible for serving businesses and individual client needs


• Possess a high level of organizational skills, multi-tasking, and be able to work within a team environment


• Be a highly motivated positive person who is willing to make outbound calls to prospective customers


• Must maintain professional appearance and attitude.

Salary/Compensation: $15.05 per hour plus commission
